Controller

Genspect, The Steps, O'Connell Street, Birr, County Offaly, Ireland, publishes this site and is the controller of any personal data it processes. Questions go to [email protected].

What is processed and why

The contact form collects a name, an email address, optionally the page you are writing about, and your message. They are used only to read and answer your message. Submissions are stored by the hosting platform and forwarded by email to Genspect; they are deleted within twelve months of the last exchange.

The web server keeps short-lived access logs, including IP addresses, for security and error diagnosis. No profiles are built from them.

Embedded video

Episode pages embed the YouTube player. When a video is played, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies according to its own privacy policy. A direct link to the video on youtube.com is given on each episode page.

What is not done

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no newsletter list, no sale or sharing of personal data.

Legal basis

Legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in answering correspondence and keeping the site secure.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, by writing to [email protected], and the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission in Ireland or your own supervisory authority. We answer within one month.
